Description: 

Solomon Islands was one of four countries to be endorsed for adaptation funding at the tenth meeting of the Adaptation Fund Board, held from 14-16 June 2010 in Bonn, Germany. The Solomon Islands project will focus on dealing with the impacts of climate change n agriculture and food security.  The objective of the project is to strengthen ability of communities in Solomon Islands to make informed decisions and manage likely climate change driven pressures on food production and management systems.

Location: 

  • Malaita - North Malaita, Lau and Langalanga;
  • Guadalcanal - South Guadalcana;
  • Makira - South Makira;
  • Choiseul - South Choiseul; Isabel - Maringe;
  • Honiara City

Time Frame: 2011-2015
